Joey began his legal career interning with the Honorable Judge Petro at the Circuit Court of Jefferson County while pursuing his undergraduate studies. Following his internship, he gained valuable experience working as an assistant, focusing on family law, bankruptcy, personal injury, and criminal cases. After earning his Bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Joey continued his education at Liberty University, where he obtained a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology, followed by a JD from the Birmingham School of Law.

Throughout his career, Joey has had the privilege of being mentored by many esteemed attorneys, significantly enriching his professional growth. In 2018, he joined Shunnarah as a paralegal, where he handled a variety of personal injury cases, acquiring invaluable experience that now drives his dedication to serving clients. His practice focuses on personal injury law and civil litigation, where Joey is committed to fighting relentlessly for his clients, ensuring their rights are protected, and that justice is served.
